Can we reduce water waste in a domestic environment?
Water scarcity is the lack of sufficient available water resources to meet the demands of water usage within a region. According to ScienceDaily, It already affects every continent and around 2.8 billion people around the world at least one month out of every year. One of the main causes of this problem is water waste and the depletion of usable freshwater resources. This projects works on a future scenario where water scarcity is one of the main problems of society.
We focused on the ritual of harvesting water and water treatment in the domestic environment (cooking water, water from the rain, food cleaning water...) to create a system that teach people how to reuse water in order to avoid any kind of waste. The creation of two different filters. The first one, a filter that contains cloth, charcoal and sand inside to filter the main particles. The second one, a uv light filter that remove 99.99% of harmful waterborne microorganisms.
